No Dawkins deal in Denver

Posted on: February 27, 2009 8:39 pm

Contrary to reports, there is no deal in place in Denver for free-agent safety Brian Dawkins. Dawkins flew to Denver Friday afternoon and met with the Broncos. He is expected to stay through Saturday while negotiations take place. There is an offer, but there is no deal ... yet. While there is an offer from Philadelphia it's apparent that it is not enough to satisfy the Pro Bowl safety, which means the Eagles could lose him. Stay tuned.

No Dawkins deal in Denver

I know the City of Philly and all of the Eagles fans hate that Reid, Banner and the rest of them are really idiots that they are not even offering Dawk a two year deal. Dawk is the best ss we have ever had and he brings excitment and hard hitting to this team. Dawk plays hard every game and does his job. All I can wonder is what will happen if the Philly fans revolt and take it out on Reid, Banner or anyone else in the organization. They better find new place (country) to live or just retire before the start of the season. As a philly fan, I am very dissapointent that the Eagles organization can't find a middle ground that they both will come to teams with.

Hey Philly FO! This is your chance to bring back the best option available at FS, and one of the most popular players in franchise history.
