Next move for Albert out the door

So this season the Washington Redskins aren't "going through all that Albert nonsense," do I have that right? People are left to wonder what linebacker Brian Orakpo meant by that statement, and I think I have the answer.

Adios, Albert. The Redskins will do what they should have done a year ago, and move on without him.

The question, of course, is how. A source close to the club insists Haynesworth will be traded rather than cut, and he believes the Redskins deal him for anything they can gain in return, including a seventh-round draft pick.

So why not just cut your losses and release him? His response: They don't want him going to Philadelphia.

Well, now that makes sense. The Eagles play a 4-3, the defense to which Haynesworth is suited, and they just signed up defensive line coach Jim Washburn -- who was in Tennessee when Haynesworth was at his best. Plus, they're the team at the top of the NFC East, where Washington plays. Let Haynesworth go to the competition, and the chances are you pay a price.

"They'll give him away for a ham sandwich instead of cutting him and running the risk of his showing up in Philadelphia," our source said.

Bottom line: Orakpo is right. Looks like no more Albert nonsense in Washington this fall.

I agree about Snyder...... but they played 4-3 the 1st year he was here, and he wasnt happy, taking plays off, not showing up at practice etc.....

Daniel Snyder is an idiot

Only the Redskins would sign the best 4-3 one gap defensive tackle in the NFL - and have him play two gap nose tackle

Daniel Snyder deserves that $100 million dollar headache - jackass

Osi Umenyiora wants a big time uplift but has two more years under the Giants' control.

The Resdkins will unload Albert Hayneworth for a song? How about for an All-Pro defensive end?

If anyone can get Fat Albert to play, it's Perry Fewell.

And Osi can get his crazy money from Snyder in 2013 if he stays healthy.

From the Giants' perspective, they can can afford to lose Cofield and Canty both for cap control and bring Linval Joseph along playing on Albert's shoulder. Plus they get the best run stuffer in the game.

And Albert will make LeSean McCoy cry like a little girl.

Make the deal, Jerry!

Next move for Albert out the door

It is remarkable to me to see that Albert Haynesworth has ALMOST lowered himself to the depths and ineptitude of JaWalrus Russell.  The big difference is that Haynesworth showed that he could play at the highest level in the NFL and then shut down the effort and beefed up the attitude (and eating).  Russell, on the other hand, had a few good games in college and hit the lotto with the idiotic pay scale that NFL top draft picks get!

I don't feel sorry for any team that Haynesworth steals money from next...because they will be giving it to him of their own free will.

Any team willing to sign Haynesworth would just be throwing money away. It doesn't matter if they play a 4-3 or a 3-4 or any other scheme - Big Al doesn't want to work, period. He got his millions and now he doesn't think he needs to, you know, EARN them. He's a disgrace.

Well who's to say that the Redskins trade him to any other team and that team trades him to the Eagles?  The Redskins must still think he is a good player because if not they would just cut him.  21m bonus up front is what has the Redskins mad.  Stop trying to buy a Superbowl and maybe you won't get burned.  Only problem is Snider has money to burn and he just burned 21m on Haynesworth.Cool

What kind of "door" is it?  Are we sure he will fit "out the door?"  After all, he is a disgusting, fat, overpaid, disloyal, selfish, unintelligent, lazy, piece.  I say the Redskins trade him for a bottle of shlitz.
